with Cleo Hehn and Alida Thacher
Dates: Saturday August 4 & 11
Time: 10 am - 12:30 pm
Location: PDX Writers Studio (NE Portland)
Pick up a sharpie and become a sculptor of language, carving out words from the printed page to convey new and surprising meanings.
The first session we will create blackout poetry from the pages of newspapers, magazines, and books. The second session we will delve into our own pieces and those of other writers in the group.
This process is a lot of fun. But don't be fooled. It's also a great tool for sharpening your prose, helping you edit, and bringing insight into your writing projects and your real life.
