Don't kid yourself. You can't simply write your way to the end. Good books have solid structures: the hero's journey; writing from the middle. Outlines. Spreadsheets. What is the best structure for your manuscript? With a grant from RACC, Regional Arts and Culture Council, Jennifer returns from Boston's Muse & Marketplace conference with lots of good information up her sleeve! We'll look at which structure is the best approach for your particular manuscript.
We'll use exercises to get you close to your plot, setting and characters, and then see how you might weave what you have into a solid structure.
Writers should come with the start of their novel or memoir or have an idea of the project they want to explore. A completed body of work is not a requirement.
